Are You Traveling for Business or for Pleasure?

How many American companies organize or support annual trips for employees? Contemporary American practice includes company sponsored picnics, execute retreats, and annual holiday parties. For the Chinese, it is not uncommon for school or district administrators to invite teachers to go on a 3 day trip to Shanghai after school ends. The turn-out for such tours is overwhelmingly high. This is a rather common practice in China across industries. Employees look forward to the annual trips, and may pitch ideas for possible destinations. For the Chinese, why wouldn’t a trip be both for business and for pleasure?
