Lunar New Year

Offices, banks, and schools are closed. Small businesses like beauty salons will be very busy up until Lunar New Year’s Eve, on January 24th, then, they will close for a week. Large restaurants and banquet facilities will remain open. If you are doing business with China, you will have a hard time getting an answer via email starting January 24th. Golden Week starts on January 26th and ends on January 30th. According to Travel China Guide, the top 3 tips are: 1. avoid traveling to China during this period, 2. if you must travel during this time, avoid the first 2 days and the last 2 days, 3. book flights and hotel stays before arrival.
